Seems like Spring should be right around the corner...yet we woke this morning to an inch of snow!  Mid-March is upon us, and the daffodils are up.  Warmth won't be long now - plan your spring or summer getaway, and let us know if you want to add a river trip...tube, canoe or kayak on the James River, starting Memorial Day weekend.

We think you can see from the magazine article above, High Meadows Vineyard Inn isn't your typical B&B!  If you've never stayed at one - we are a good one to try.  We can help personalize your trip, to get the most out of your precios time, or we can just be here with tea and snacks at the end of your day - you'll never see another inn like ours - that's what makes a B&B stay so fun! 

We renovated the farmhouse to include 7 private guest rooms, each with a private bathroom.  Some have showers, and yes, we do have a couple of clawfoot tubs -  your soaps are cruelty-free, and your towels are laundered in the best organic cleaners available.  (An aside...bathrooms seem to hold the greatest fear for newbie B&B guests.  Trust us, we get it!  Clean, modern, and no sharing!  Who wants that these days?)

In our kitchen, we can work with any dietary needs for breakfast, and you can enjoy dining with us knowing we source our food locally and organically as much as we can - especially in the spring, summer and fall.  Dinner can be arranged prior to your arrival - just check it on your online reservation form, and we'll take care of the rest.

So, if the pictures don't convince you - we invite you to read our reviews.  Guests are honest, and we have learned a lot about things we need to work on (which we have and continue to do), and the things we do well (don't fix what isn't broken!).  Mostly, we want you to know that your experience here will be one you will want to repeat again...there is so much to see and do, spend two day with us and we know you'll come back!

A note from your innkeepers...

SOOO ready for spring!  Fresh chevre is here again from Caromont, and early greens are being delivered often.  Spring peas and asparagus won't be far away.  In the mean time, we still have the fireplaces open, and the brewery is warm every night!  Come see us soon -
